John Thrasher Raking in the Money in Senate Bid

Former House Speaker and lobbyist John Thrasher has been busy raising funds to succeed term-limited State Senator Jim King.  Thrasher, a relative newcomer to the race, ranked 5th in money raised by candidates running for statewide office in Florida during the past quarter, raising over $272,000.  Thrasher faces former State Rep Aaron Bean, Jacksonville City Councilman Art Graham and local business Dan Quiggle in the race.  They have raised $242,000, $133,000 and $117,000, respectively.  

With these fundraising numbers being reported this early in the race, this North Florida Senate seat could turn out to be one of the most expensive races in the Florida Senate in 2010.
