Audrey Moran Launches Campaign for Mayor

Audrey Moran
Audrey Moran launched her campaign for Jacksonville Mayor today by filing with the Supervisor of Elections Office and hosting an evening reception at the downtown Burrito Gallery. With her filing, Moran became the first major candidate to enter the Spring 2011 race.
Moran, the President and CEO of the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless, brings an impressive resume to the race. A former state prosecutor, she served under Ed Austin before serving as Chief of Staff to former Mayor John Delaney.
Moran launched her campaign with an evening reception with attendees that were invited via social media--Facebook and Twitter--a relatively new concept for political campaigns in Jacksonville.
Moran's campaign will be chaired by Regions Bank Executive Marty Lanahan with former Mayor Ed Austin serving as the Fundraising Chair. CPA Dan Edleman will serve as her campaign Treasurer.
Moran's website is up and running. She'll have three months before the first fundraising report is due. She may be the first, but more candidates are expected to follow her in the race. Stay tuned...
